A software review is a meeting or process through which a selected group of individuals, stakeholders, project management staff, analysts, testers, or any interested parties, reviews a software product. The review is undertaken for a variety of reasons such as; to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a product, to determine whether or not the product meets the needs of the end user, to establish a quality benchmark for the product, to create a value proposition and a marketing plan, to establish the feasibility of the product and whether it will be cost effective, and/or to make recommendations on how to improve the quality and/or functionality of the product. In addition, Software reviews also identify and test product issues that may be detrimental to the product's success. By reviewing the software before releasing it into the market, the reviewer helps to identify issues that could otherwise go unnoticed. As these reviews are conducted over time by different organizations, there are usually many different reviews conducted at various points in the lifecycle of a product. In the past, reviewing software was an arduous and costly task. In fact, a good software testing company would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars just to conduct the testing and review. However, these days, there are several software testing companies that offer software testing services and they can conduct the software testing as part of the initial software product development process. These companies provide the necessary tools and resources to conduct the software testing and reviews on their own. Most software companies develop their software products with specific plans for customer feedback and for software testing. The companies may not be able to incorporate all of the feedback from the reviews. There are times when there will be some negative comments and criticisms that need to be addressed before the product is released in the market. In order to handle such negative situations, the software testing companies develop software test scripts that will allow them to address each feedback and criticism in a more efficient manner and within the prescribed time period. The process of reviewing software products is not a one-time process. A company will have to undertake software reviews in order to ensure that a particular software product meets its customer requirements and meets or exceeds its marketing goals. By doing the reviews on a regular basis, software testing companies will be able to avoid product delays or product failures due to technical problems or glitches, and will also ensure that the software product can meet the future needs of their customers. The software tests are conducted on the software by using test scripts that enable the software test tester to run the software without the actual use of the software. The software reviews also include validation of the software's operation and design and provide feedback on the usability of the software. The software tests will also identify and test product problems that have an effect on the product's quality and performance. The software testing company also performs product evaluations on a regular basis to determine the effectiveness of the software products. These evaluations provide an accurate indication of whether or not the software meets its customer requirements. The software testing company can assess and confirm whether the software is still a suitable solution for the specific problem that the customer is experiencing. The software test evaluation can determine the quality of the product's functional and performance characteristics. These evaluations also help identify and track customer's expectations.
